Our middle school program consists of grades 6th-8th. 

High Level Overview of Middle School:

• 4 Core Classes - Language Arts, Science, Math and Social Studies
• 2 Specialists - Art and Physical Education
• A Leadership Class
• Focused on Core Knowledge Topics
• Leadership Building Opportunities
• Service Learning Projects
• 1-1.5 Hours of Homework/School Night
• 1 Chromebook for Each Student (Stays at School)

Parents will have access to check on assignments, grades, behavioral referrals, and other communications by utilizing ParentVUE through our Synergy system and Google Classroom through G Suite for Education.

WLA students in Grade 7-9 have the opportunity to attend the WorldStrides field trip to Washington DC/Williamsburg in June, 2025.  Students will travel with other WLA students and staff to join the WorldStrides tour group in DC.  Students will have an opportunity to learn about American History, Civics and Government as they tour some of the most influential monuments in the United States.  Use this link to learn more.
