We are a Core Knowledge chartered public school that opened in 2014, and we will be serving over 1000 K-10 students for the upcoming school year. The vision of WLA is to be a K-12 public school where learning empowers students to be future leaders and global citizens. The mission of WLA is to empower dedicated staff to deliver academically rigorous curriculum to students and to prepare them with exceptional leadership skills.

Each year new families are inspired by the mission and vision of Woodbury Leadership Academy!   WLA continues to grow and to meet our increasing needs, we are currently looking to fill open positions with highly qualified and dedicated individuals.

Woodbury Leadership Academy utilizes leadership based programs and strategies grounded in solid research, combined with the demonstrated success of Core Knowledge curriculum as the basis of a rigorous program that builds strong skills in math, reading, literature, writing, music, science and technology. WLA is a school where students and graduates become exceptional leaders, and are prepared to take on the academic and leadership challenges they will face as they transition into high school.

Our staff is highly collaborative with a robust professional learning community and established behavior and academic intervention teams.   WLA is a student-uniform school; our students are kind, respectful and responsible as well as motivated to succeed.  New staff receive orientation and training prior to starting along with a variety of support throughout the year; this has helped create one of the best instructional teams in the state.
